          Technology-driven Sustainable Development

          In 1991, the predecessor of GCL Group, Xiecheng Electrical Equipment Complete Company set up a special design office, attaching great importance to innovation and R&D work. This has ever since laid the foundation for GCL Group's tradition of scientific and technological innovation. Up until now, GCL has been considering innovation as its core value, implementing innovation-driving strategies and promoting all-around innovations in its management and running. Innovation leads to differentiated development. Staying market-oriented and thinking outside the box are the keys for GCL’s innovation and revolution.

          Technological innovation is the fundamental driving force for the sustainable development of GCL. GCL has set up world-class R&D centers and incubators in the United States, Japan, Israel, Shanghai, Suzhou, Xuzhou and other places. A scientific research team has been set up, composed of 2,800 experts, academicians and postdoctoral fellows at home and abroad with strong innovation capabilities. These eligible institutions and talents have prepared GCL for breakthroughs in key equipment, advanced production engineering, and cutting-edge technology and for GCL to transform into a tech-driven enterprise.

          In recent years, GCL has been putting 3% of its annual turnover in scientific and technological research and development and has acquired nearly 3,000 patents for its inventions and intellectual property rights. GCL has participated in the formulation of more than 60 industry standards. Up to now, GCL Group has made technological R&D and innovation in polysilicon ingots and monocrystalline silicon, wafer slicing, battery modules, system integration, energy networking and other fields. GCL has filled the domestic gap in terms of semiconductor grade materials, CVD reduction furnace, silane gas, energy wall and other technologies and reached the world's leading position. The silane fluidized bed FBR method has further reduced the cost of polysilicon production. Due to its outstanding contributions to the photovoltaic industry, GCL Group was elected as the co-chairman unit of the Global Solar Council and the chairman unit of the Asia Photovoltaic Association, and has won respect and trust from all walks of life.
